Thankfully he wasn't near it. Largo lives Aucklandish way. He may have felt it though.

seems to me that the frequency and intensity of natural disasters is increasing progressively. I don't like to jump on the end of the world band wagon, but it does make me wonder. Welp, at least there's another year or so left to the world! I say we party.

Don't be dense!

Sure the Earth is becoming more active recently. It's one of many cycles the Earth goes through.

Would you rather Earth's activity slowed to a stop and the core cooled? The atmosphere would be stripped by the Solar wind. Not good! So the Earth's activity is a very good thing!

Both me and Eva live in the North of the North Island, so we didn't feel any quake. Too cold down that end of the world.

Well, I'm glad you didn't get quaked away. Hopefully no one was seriously hurt from it. The linked article didn't seem to say :(

Nah, suprisingly no one was killed considering all the damage. And there was a lot of damage.

The frequency seems about the same to me. Its funny though, my mom got me a Mayan calendar while she was in Mexico. I said thanks, after December of 2012 they aren't making any more.
