Cell phones are a waste of money and brain cells, while books only make your imagination limited.

"Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking."

Albert Einstein said that, so it must be true. But I still read way too much for my own good.

When I'm not studying quantum physics, I like to spend my time watching reruns of Home and Away.

When aren't you studying quantum physics? You get brakes? What kind of place do you live in?!...

And I never heard of Home and Away. Is it about baseball?

So it's like any television show, but with more drama and improbabilities in a 1 hour time frame then should be possible, with cool accents? No baseball? Well, I'll stick with my quantum physics, thanks. Have fun.

Yes, but Home and Away is set by the beach so occassionally the girls are in bikinis.

Not that I watch it of course

Its just on before the news

Pledodge please read A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. You'll get over your HP obsession I promise smile.gif
"To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children, to earn the approbation of honest critics; to appreciate beauty; to give of one's self, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived--that is to have succeeded." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Why can't you enjoy a good book and have a mobile phone?
Just because you have one, doesn't mean you can't have the other!

What we're talking about here, OJ, is the complete acceptance of one and rejection of the other. A compromise would be WAY too efficient and understandable.

Why can't I have a mobile phone that carries 16 books, so I don't have to carry them with me everywhere I go.

I only have so much pocket space.
