Wow. I've already maxed out my Macbook Pro.

Out of 4GB of RAM... I have 31MB left... craziness.

You have 4GB of ram, and are running three or more OS at the same time, and it consumes memory? SHOCKER! Especially since Vista is going to Superfetch all it can into memory anyways.

Hard drive space is fine, I still have over a terabyte left.

Perhaps one of those overly expensive flash drives that vista seemed to popularize
"To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children, to earn the approbation of honest critics; to appreciate beauty; to give of one's self, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived--that is to have succeeded." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I stand by my post.  This is a surprise - why?

No, I just want to know why he thinks it is so surprising that he's running out of memory when running at least three operating systems at the same time - especially Vista, which is an admitted memory hog. There's good reason that Vista is a memory hog, Superfetch is a great principle, but more control over Superfetch would be a good thing.

Windows 7 does a pretty good job of keeping it under control, from the testing I've done on it. I'm totally not disagreeing with you. It's just fun to post screenshots.
