well slap me and call me hurt, forgive me for slaughtering the english language.
no need to be rude.

what has irb turned into lougan.

by don't enjoy the poetry, i should have included;
"if you don't like it then keep your mouth shut because as open to critism as i am, i am sensitive. mean words hurt. dude(s)."

next time i'll be sure to ask everyone to excuse my grammar. oh and i corrected my spelling of opportunity and took the space out of whirlwind.

my bad. but thanks.

lol well it would be a lot better if you respected the english language by using correct spelling and grammar. poetry is usually pretty free of form, but you're kind of abusing that..

(and for the record, my mother is an english teacher, so there is some validity in my opinion)

I've never heard that rule. I always thought poetry was more about expression than correct sentence structure. But yeah.

woahwoahwoah.
okay, i'm sorry i offended you, really. that wasn't my intention.
but, honestly,. you posted a piece of art on a public forum. there are people in this world who look at a piece of art with a critical eye. now, you did not ask for criticism, but you also didn't ask anyone to not not to criticize your poem. it's just sort of what happens when someone exposes themselves/their art to the public. probably something to consider:something you probably should consider if you know about yourself that you're particularly sensitive is that you can do one of two things. the first would be the obvious, which would be to not set yourself up for criticism. the second would be to grow a thicker skin.
again, i'm sorry i hurt your feelings, but as this is a public forum, i'm not going to just accept every rose/barbed wire cross/fireworks tattoo, or less-than-impressive poem as The Greatest if i don't actually think it is.

but the problem is that the errors of it weren't technical. it wasn't so much the fact that yes there were some errors. it was just the way you pointed it out, and the name drop of your mom being an english teacher it came off as very snooty and rude.

and if you truely didn't intend it that way, than i apologize for being sassy.
i would hate to get off on the wrong foot.

well. snooty is not something i hear every day. i was really only saying that so i wouldnt get flamed about how i shouldnt have an opinion because i don't know what i'm talking about
or some shit
because i do. i mean we all have our strengths and at the very least my sat scores are proof that the english language is one of mine.

and you are entitled to defend your art if you feel it is of merit. no need to apologize.

and just for good measure i realllly wasn't trying to offend.

although, you haven't read all of my writing... hahahah.

yeah sat scores aren't as easily proven or justified as an english wielding mother.
anyways. thanks for pointing some things out. and trust me, it's not my best piece of work.

ok kids, are we done being argumentative yet? Cuz that would be cool. Grammar and spelling arguments are dumb, unless you type like a teenage text msg. Then I have the right to smite you with my staffyness.

to Suzy ... hi, welcome back. I don't remember you, but after 5 years (gad, have I known Zach that long?)... that happens.
