there might already be a thread for free online games, but i didn't see one..so i made one myself! (i swear i'm not a bot!) this can be a place to share your favorite flash games and the like smile.gif

my favorite time-waster at the moment: RaidenX -it's on other online game websites, but i find that ads slow down game play and this particular page has no complicated ads- originally found it on BubbleBox, but there's a couple of RaidenX-only sites.

it's just your basic shoot-em-up game; don't get hit, don't collide with enemies, pick up weapons and medals (for points)..basic stuff
it's a pretty non-stop, hectic shooter game and takes a few tries to get the hang of it, but once you do, it's a lot of fun. the bosses at the end of each level take an unreasonably long time to defeat, but it's fun nevertheless.
Controls:
Z- Shoot
X- Bombs
Arrow Keys- Move
Space, Enter- Select

another game i love is Loops of Zen. it's a puzzle game in which the goal is to make sure all loose ends are closed. click the pieces to rotate them until everything is connected

I remember having problems with level 9. You just have a wall and there's black walls all over. The solution was to shoot a portal onto the ceiling above you, and one on the floor. Then, as you fall to the one on the floor, you shoot a portal such that it is next to the one on the floor, so your momentum transfers and you go up.

I like simple games. I play on pogo and neopets... dorky, I admit, but that's me.

The only criticism of Raiden-X I have is that it is a little too slow for me in the first parts, but whoever programmed the game did an awesome job.  As it's a tribute, this may be because the source material is like this.

I guess I'm a little spoiled by "bullet-hell" shooters like Cho Ren Sha:

And no, that's not sped-up at all...that's the actual speed of the game.

Well, there's always I Wanna Be The Guy. I hear it's pretty easy. Free download, too!

I didn't realize Raiden had difficulty levels...it's pretty good on hard mode.

For online games, I've been going to Sporcle lately. They have some awesome trivia games ranging from history to music to movies, etc. Just saw on their website that they're giving away an iPad2 to the 500 millionth game played on their site! A good way for someone to win an iPad2 if they don’t have one, since all you have to do is play trivia games and possibly come away with an iPad2. I was just on there today and saw that they are nearing the 500 million mark.
