Children really should be finding ways of entertaining themselves like this.

It is only a shame that they aren't allowed outside any more.

I always said my son wasn't allowed to play video games. That didn't last long. We have a Wii, a DS, and (showing you how old-school I am) a Game Cube.

However, he's never gotten anything less than an A- (freaking slacker) in school, and is reading at a 6th grade level--he's eight, by the way. He's only allowed to play on the Wii when his school work and chores are done. Most of the time, he finds something else to do. Video games aren't evil. Parents have just gotten lazy.

video games do a surprising amount for us as well... help us with our reaction times, focus, and coordination

the armed forces LOVE to recruit gamers... i'm sure this argument has been used plenty of times on this forum, i just wanted to seem smart *smug look*
