A fractal, simply put, is for every line, there are two lines (in math, a triangle sitting on the line) branching off of it. Since the triangle has two lines, more triangles form on each leg, and so on and so forth. Using different formulas one can make some very interesting pictures that are all derived from a single formula.

Since your example constantly branches off of itself as one makes decisions, we could consider that a fractal.

Wiki explains all

Fractals are more than just lame ass lines. They are complex equations that have infinite answers. And create SUPER SWEET TRIPPY IMAGES WHEN COLORED RIGHT!

no worries. I'm more appalled at an educational system that never even MENTIONS fractals.

How old are you lizardsandy?

I just re-discovered this thread.

Life = random chaos. Of course you make choices, but there is NO way to tell how making a difference choice would have turned out.
seeing as life doesnt work as simple as choice=product... ok, that matter is done away with, onto the next... fate is moot.

Fate and chance are just romantics ways of consoling themselves when things turn to custard.

mmmmmmm, custard.

Isn't fate just total contradiction? I mean if fate controls your life, every sole action ends up being total waste of time, as you can't fight the fate you've been given. And if you believe you can control your fate, well isn't fate the wrong word to use, as that kind of view upon life means that every action you do is based on your own will? And if every action is based upon own will, then there's no fate to follow. Sure, you can build up goals in your life, but still, fate seems to be the wrong word to use then. Or am I totally out of sanity here? hehe

That's the point of fate...you can't fight it or control it.
