i found out recently that the u.s. army had a ray gun. further more there not using it. isent that just a waste?

They tested it... let me ask you something. Have you ever had the sensation of your skin being on fire? Trust me it's no picknick, everything gets so tight and yes it burns like a motherfucker, it stings, yadda yadda quite excrutiating...now imagine that sensation on 100% of your body...and yes even your privates...light your shit on fire and then tell me if you feel its morally OK to use this type of weapon...it's torture. Also think of this, you see it on the back of that Humvee now imagine one 10 times the size floating around in space...our government would be able to target specific locations in a rather large area, total chaos, now sure its safer than bullets but its like taunting people saying we COULD kill you...but were gonna make you feel like you're on fire instead!!!!

Yeah, use bullets...all they got is a ray which can be reflected.

We already have lazers that can be used as weapons, nothing like an energy pulse I think but we can definitely cut holes through shit using light...its quite interesting, no bullets necessary, just charge it up and cut away.

Plus a simple rocket launcher or land mine would solve your problem, it's a very flawed program, we americans sure know how to waste money! But its all for technological enlightenment, see what we can do! It costs only 62 million dollars! What we need to do it invent microwave ovens that can clean themselves.

The article says it's a ray gun that neither kills nor maims, and that people would most likely move out of the way. Seems like it could be a resourceful weapon if used correctly and resonsibly.

But it's good, for now they can test it more and tweak it.

Sealed off hallway would be perfect, and have it filled to the brim with people, ever see ants crawl around and over each other when they are panicked? Imagine that with people, death would surely ensue due to the chaotic panic, people getting trampled etc...especially if they didn't know what was going on, just tell them they have a disease that will kill them in 2 minutes! Get it all on camera and put it on youtube, instant classic.

i just dont want to think about people boiling away or trampling each other to death. period. it doesnt really have anything to do with wether or not these people you are creating deserve any punishment. i just dont enjoy the mental picture.
