Foil Hard Drives

Apparently a new style of hard drive will soon be released.  This drive will be more reliable, hold 3 times the space, and use 1/3 of the energy.  Basically instead of 3-5 thick (and heavy) platters of information being turned by a large motor, 10-12 thin (and light) platters of information will be turned by a small motor.  The new hard drive heads are almost immune to damage, making falls and drops not a problem anymore, so it will make IPod's more reliable.

I can't wait until they're released next year, I just hope I have the money to get one.

I hear that it is made out of playdoh, based on the new mould and shape technology.

Well, they're coming out in a year...and they'll probably be expensive at first.  I'd wait a while.

but you have to think about the amount it'll cost for a new method of manufcaturing.  Once they've been able to refine that process, the price will drop.

if you want to start a fund for a new laptop, feel free.
