I hate my first car.

'95 white minivan.  It was the car that was left outside during what they called "The Storm of the Century" complete with hail.  The hail totalled the van, Dad kept the check, and only fixed the broken glass.

Took 17 seconds to get up to 60 mph, floored.  If I had a good downhill slope and the back seats weren't in it, I could get it up to 75 or so.

One time on the way back from night classes at the tech, I spent 15 minutes getting up to 100 just to see if it could do it.  The steering wheel shook for the next week.

The only good thing about it was that it got the best gas milleage of all our cars and I could fit 7 people in it.  Unfortunately I've never had 7 friends at once, and if I DID put 5 or 6 people in it took even longer to get up to 60.

My dad still drives it.  I stole his Blazer and like that much better.  (I broke the van, and then my sisters truck.)

I reserve the right to say "Don't be a prick," yet be one myself.

My first (and only) car is my mother's old '92 Honda Accord EX.  Since this is a new IRB, I must make the comment that it has more than 250,000 miles on it at this point.  It gets damned good gas mileage and likes to go fast.  It does not like to go slow at all, it shudders like crazy when it does.

I've also driven around in my mother's new Toyota Prius, but novelty does not sway my opinion, I like to drive the honda better because I can see the hood and the rear-view is much more accessible.  However the Prius has the tightest turning radius I've ever seen.

My first car was a 1985 Saab 900.  It looked very much like this one pictured.

Anyway I got it when I was 16, and it was 10 years old.  At first I thought it was the ugliest car, but that little car was the best car I've ever owned.  Easy to maintain, ran great and was built like a tank.  In high school I stuffed that car with as many people as I could fit.  In college I think I actually fit 7 of us in that thing, including 1 person in the trunk (lucky for him it was a hatchback).  I even got that car up to 114 mph once, just don't tell my parents about that.  That car even came with it's own old school radar detector.  How old school was it?  Well the automatic door openers at the grocery store used to set the thing off, but it still saved me from a few speading tickets.

I was the only kid at my school for a while with a saab, which was cool.  My senior year a couple other people wanted one, so they got one.  But it was nice having something unique for a while.  Definitely my favorite car I've owned, and I'd buy another saab any day.

My first car was an 86'ish chrysler lebaron turbo.  It had sum 200+ thousand miles on it, the gas gauge was broken so I had no idea how much gas I had, the turbo was dead, the back passenger side door did not close properly...  that ended with a friend of mine almost doing a tuck and roll in a neighbors yard as I went around a turn and he hung onto the door as he almost fell out of the car.  That car lasted me about a month, at which point I turned left at an intersection and was t-boned by a minivan going 45...  there was actually a crease in the floor from the impact.  Fun stuff.

After that I picked up a early 90s pontiac grand am...  the electrical system was shot and required me to install a new alternator every month.  Good thing for warranties.  It was also quite highly decorated with duct tape.

I remember that jeep... sigh. It was a good jeep.

Well... Names and Dates.

The Fujimobile One.
well technically it didnt reach one status until I got number 2.   However, this is its fateful story.  I got her in July of 1997.  Yes... a very long time ago.  Well she was a damned good car.  A Pontiac Grand Am 1991.  She was a burgundy shade of red.  Really pretty.  Anyway, it was time for the 13 year cicadas to be out.  If you don't know what a cicada is, well they are really ugly things that come out ever few years to fuck and die.  It was May 7th, 1998.  There were a fuck load of dead cicadas all over my car.  I decided, I'd better clean them off.   So...  I did.  Fate is an ugly thing.

So off I was to school, about 5 min later than I usually was.  I get to the intersection of my road and the high way.  I look left, there is a car way off in the distance.  I look right.  Nothing.  I pull out.  WHAM.  Glass everywhere.  Blurred vision.  I dont remember how i got out of the car, i just remember looking down at my right hand, which was hanging in a very... bad way.  turns out I had shattered the bones in my right forearm.

So yeah.  I think that car saved my life.  Because I was hit at 80 mph by a suburban.  I didnt get in trouble.  He did.

I learned to drive on my mom's Explorer.  The top half is silver, the bottom half blue.  I drove my dad's old Chevy S-10 pickup until I graduated from high school.  Then my parents gave me the Explorer.  I kept the Explorer until my 21st birthday  That's when my parents gave me my current car, a candy apple red Ford ZX2.  It's a fun car, although I miss having an SUV, but it's a great car.
