That's one of MANY postings of it, there's plenty not flagged as "inappropriate"

Price and release date mean nothing to me when its still pre-release. Titles and fun-factor do. I will decide, when the time comes, whether or not the price makes a difference. Until then, I'm not wasting my time with things that change on the daily.
Does anyone want to actually make a point regarding the systems capabilities and lineup, instead of just the price and release dates?

As soon as I said PS3 is gonna have me, two people jumped me for things they don't even realize have nothing to do with my decision. I'm not buying one at launch. I won't buy one for at least a year after it launches, when I can make my decision between Wii and PS3. When I say, I think PS3 is gonna have me on this one, that doesn't mean I'm itching to go out and buy one the second it releases. That means that based upon current data and information, PS3 is probably gonna have me. I have not been a fan of Nintendo since SNES. Plus, it's not going to cost eleventy million dollars. I have no intention of buying any gaming system before I buy a $1500+ laptop.

I wasn't attacking you Keith, merely using you as a springboard to point out the launch shortage of units. And how pricey the whole system is.
But it's gonna be wii60 for me, because:
Sony lost GTA exclusitivity
They lost some other game exclusives, and Final Fantasy is no longer exclusive and neither is Dragon Quest
Programmers find it extremely difficult to program for the system and say that the system can't produce graphics much better than the 360 (admittedly hearsay).
They took out the rumble in the controllers for a pointless, crippled motion sensor (compared to the wiimote)
Blu-Ray would not be my format of choice for movies because it is sponsored by Sony, who have a really bad track record for media formats going back to the BetaMax.
I don't have an HD-TV, although my TV has 720 p I belive. Or the 480 or whatever. So the whole "HD-era" thing just wouldn't work for me. But I've seen the X-Box 360 in action on standard sets and it looks great, whereas I've yet to see anything *spectacular* for the PS3. Their conference at E3 just completely underwhelmed me, and the price tag makes me angry at them, futhermore, they're extremely arrogant (summary of one of Sony's quotes: "you'll buy the PS3 at launch even if we have no games for it")
So, to summarize:
No real wow factor (that I've seen to the present, as compared with X-Box 360 which I've seen in real-time gameplay), dearth of exclusives to buy the console (the only thing that would make me buy the system used is MGS4), pointless rumble-less controller design, BluRay doesn't sway me to buy a console, Sony's ethos and track record are shitty.
I really don't know why we're comparing wii to PS3 anyways. That ad is just a joke, and is taken far too seriously. I belive the real competition is between the 360 and PS3, and anyone who buys either of those two systems might buy the wii as an addition. I think Nintendo will win the "oh, what the hell" market this time 'round.
Oh and once Halo 3 comes out, I'm buying that pack with Halo, Halo 2 and extra maps and Halo 3 and the X-Box 360. Until then, I'll put off buying the 360. And I'm buying the X-Box 360, not the core "X-Box 3-shitty" (PA reference).
On that laptop front, it was kinda sad....I saw a laptop for $400 which has more capability than my current computer minus a firewire port, one usb port and integrated wireless...man, in a year I'll be able to buy a $200 low-end laptop than pwns this one...but my comp is only 4 years old
