Akira to me was the worst, most stereotypical anime ever, that made absolutely no sense. I like, even love, anime, but I hate Akira.

I followed it , its not a perticually good storyline but it was one of the first to be released in england so its sort of a landmark . Guy from motercycle gang gets experimented on , becomes super powerfull , cant contain the power , hears about akira who was more powerfull , digs up the body parts , even though akira even though chopped into tiny peices takes him out. chuck in a few scenes of childhood to explane why this guy is going soo crazy with power and decides to try and muller his mates.
lots of blood and gore with wierd powers and quite kewl animatoin ( i like the fact the lights leave a trail) AND to top it off if you watch the end credits theres actully a guy who only designs guns for the whole film. contanuity eh?
I like manga , i read watch whatever. some films let me down like blood the vampire but hellsing was alright ( i liked that they used actuall brittish locatoins for it)ninga scroll (movie and series) where pretty good (except for the wierd ass ending for the serires)
but i have watched a few and gone WTF, WTF,WTF that makes no seanse . But that could either be like donny darko which its ment for people to make up there own mind or some serious crap has been fucked up by the translatoins.
