I lost a year of my life to Diablo 2. My first RPG, and with its half mmo'ish-ness (my friends and I played on a lan) I pretty much sold my soul for the Immortal King's set to put on my barbarian. After a while though it got really pointless. I kicked ass as level 77 in Nightmare, but Hell was harder than hell.
Bringing knives to gun fights for over 25 years.

I reserve the right to say "Don't be a prick," yet be one myself.

I miss the high days of the original Diablo. My warrior with his flaming axe of the bat was the best pin cushion for all my rogue friends, plus I could take out a goat-man in one hit. In fact, I believe that's where I came up with Samurai Goat.

Plus, I had a legit kings sword of haste. And that was awesome. Fast enough attack speed to interrupt Diablo.

And admit it, none of the spells in D2 are as cool as flame wave was.

I tend to go only to level 40 or so before I burn out. Once you get to nightmare and hell mode, it's just the exact same game over and over and over and over...

I played Diablo II: LoD for about a year. My main character ended up being a lvl 98 Fire Sorceress. Never got that last level was just too boring. My inventory was filled with those +1 skill charms so I was pumping out mad damage. It gets kind of pointless after that..... and all those Baal runs.....
"To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children, to earn the approbation of honest critics; to appreciate beauty; to give of one's self, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived--that is to have succeeded." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
