My Laptop is not able to support the new Aero prettiness, but thats ok, it still looks great. Overall im rather surprised how stable it is. The only thing that crashes it is me. It is for the most part backwards compatible, I have run into a few problems though. Oddly enough, Windows tells you installing a said program could cause your computer to be unstable. Being the bastard I am, i hit yes to the install anyway button, and crash the thing. haha. What didnt work was Trillian, Citrix, DAEMON Tools, and some other programs I cant remember.
