so I went to this place called http://tiltedkilt.com

It makes Hooters look like a convent.

I know what my reputation is, and I live with that. but the honest truth is...despite the obviousness of it, and only 1 or 2 girls that shouldn't have been allowed to dress that way...I wasn't really bothered by the assorted skin, no matter how obvious (or how attractive on some).

but it begs the question...

I'm all for cleavage and allure...I'm all for promoting a fantasy and increasing the liklihood of tips and happy customers, but does anyone have a problem with the whole sex and food thing?

I'm not a fan of it frankly...I don't dig sploshing. I can appreciate a suggestive twinkie or hotdog in jest and good fun, but I'm not into mixing the two. So I can look my waitress in the eye and appreciate the atmosphere and enjoy the scenery, but I'm not really a fan of it (especially if the food is only mediocre)

anyway..those are my thoughts.

sooo i took my first art class this summer (Intro to Drawing) aaaand i want to my share my new (but amateur) skills

criticisms and compliments are welcomed

(these two are day and night drawings of the sky using pastels)

and these three are my end of the semester projects using charcoal and pastel (different landscape drawings of pictures i took)

...and apparently i have to post them separately because the file sizes are too big

...or maybe it'll just put them all on the same post... lol

i might have been inhaling a little too much of the fixative spray

As many of you know, I work in higher education. One of the main focuses of my position is web marketing and strategy using websites, email, social media, and a whole lot of other things you probably don't care to know about. Either way, something interesting came up yesterday. If any of you follow me on twitter (which none of you probably do), you've probably noticed a huge number of posts I've made about something called "#UGAFail". Its a video that was created by the Orientation Staff of University of Georgia. Suffice to say, its one of the worst videos I've ever seen and its hilarious that they made students sit through this during their orientation.

Its the first time I've ever watched a video go viral in real time. It was great watching the video get picked up by the likes of Comedy Central, ESPN, FoxSports, and the hilarious comments by fans of rival schools like Georgia Tech and Florida. So without further adieu, here is the second worst video every made by a university.

So you wonder, what's the worst video ever made by a university? That honor belongs to Appalachian State University with their video entitled "HOT HOT HOT" circa 2004.

Fingers crossed this thread will die because you'll all have brilliant weekends forever. But sadly my weekend will now suck. I was supposed to go to Runcorn to see friends, one of whom now has a "tummy bug". A tummy bug! It even sounds totally lame like she should get a grip. Now we will reschdule and I can't really complain aloud without sounding like a bit of a bitch.

PS for our international viewers London, where I am, and Runcorn are not near eachother

PPS for our international viewers okay fine, maybe 2 hours on a train is possibly not actually THAT bad a journey so I should probably shutup. But it cost �45 and that is a lot of money.

I couldn't find a general film thread, so sorry if I missed it and this is doubling up. I just saw The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas last night and it wasn't good enough to warrant its own thread. The ending was pretty patrionising, and I suspect it was really badly adapted from the book. Which I don't care to read.

I also recently saw Inception and that was nicely entertaining and a very good example of what a blockbuster should look like. The zero gravity scenes were amazing, and Leonardo DiCaprio is really establishing himself as the Crazy Eyes Man of Hollywood. I recommend.

I also watched Little Shop Of Horrors the other night. Always brilliant.

IRB's skins and forum have been updated with new software. So all of these issues we've been having are pretty much fixed now I think... Maybe.
